Hold Burmese government responsible
for crimes against humanity

"Under a pretend transition to Democracy, Burmese regime has
been enjoying overwhelming support from around the world. In the meantime,
ethnic cleansing of minorities and political dissidents are at full scale.
Starting from the end of May 2012 until now tens of thousands of Rohingya and
Muslims around the country have been killed, nearly 30,000 houses and their
religious places have been burned down. The violence has created over 100,000
IDPs, and tens of thousands escaped the country. Now it has become a burden to
neighboring countries. The military, security forces and Buddhist mobs have been
committing rapes with impunity. Sadly, the world has turned blind eyes on the
atrocities.
I am a Rohingya currently living in Canada. I lost more than
50 of my family members and closed relatives including my father. Through this
petition I am trying to raise awareness about the ethnic cleansing in Burma. I
hope that through a concerted effort from international community, the killing
can be stopped." ~Anwar S

Suffering of Rohingyas in Bangladesh Camps
“The Feeling You Get in Rohingya
Refugee Camps”: Photo Gallery by Zoriah.

“As a photojournalist I have seen a lot of things others would never even want to imagine. Oddly enough, what really gets to me, what gives me nightmares more than anything else, are situations in which people are trapped and have no options.”

Fear stalks Muslims in Myanmar
Everything you need to know about the killing of Muslims in Meiktila.
“….Buddhist mob attacked the school killing at least 30 students
and four teachers.Mon Hnin said she saw about 30 policemen arriving in trucks about 8am. From her vantage point, she saw how the students and teachers of the madrasa gave up to police the weapons they had improvised to defend themselves. She claimed that a group of them was offered the chance to be evacuated from the area in police trucks, but they were attacked by the mob before reaching the vehicles.”

The Government is Behind the Killing
Kristallnacht in Myamar:
“Not one bullet was fired, not one smoke bomb was dropped as scores of
Muslims were attacked and some were burnt alive in Myanmar last week. The
security forces just looked on. In a country where they routinely use brute
force against political dissidents, villagers who protest land grabs and even
monks, their passivity was sadly revealing.”
Military in Arakan State keeps Rohingya Women as Sex Slaves
“Eyewitness testimony
of a military camp situated a few miles from Sittwe town (and home to Regiment
270) describes around 20 women and three children under the age of eight being
held at the camp. One of the witnesses, Amina (name changed), described walking
past the camp when she heard voices calling out to her."
